About

AnalyzeWeb is a website load testing, performance analysis, slow page determination, website monitoring, and content change detection all in one inexpensive YET easy to use solution. Built on our popular MonitorWeb application this application adds the ability to specify multiple simultaneous client connections and has an additional response analysis chart.

The new graphical interface is well suited to perform operations such as intranet load testing to slow page determination, to critical website monitoring with content change detection within minutes. Simply enter the URL's you wish to analyze, the failure criteria and/or actions (if any), the number of simultaneous client connections to use and then click 'Start'! The results show up on a nifty real-time color coded table and on a graphical chart (updated every 10 seconds).

Website Load Testing

AnalyzeWeb acts as a manager application with multiple easily programmable HTTP clients which, using either HTTP or HTTPS, accesses a list of URLs (with either GET or POST requests supported). For website/intranet load testing you simply specify the number of simultaneous client connections in project properties:

Each client analyzes sequentially the list of URL's with independent cookies support which allows you to submit initial one time login requests then repeatedly check other resources which required the initially retrieved session token (cookie).

Start of load testing can be done with all clients at once, or staggered (starting 1 new client every 10 seconds up until the programmed limit is hit). By staggering the clients you can view the real-time results panel and identify at which point the web server begins to break down with errors (ie... how many simultaneous users it can handle).

For heavy load testing over 200-400 simultaneous clients we recommend multiple copies are installed on different machines so as to prevent errors/false indications due to client resources being constrained.

Performance Analysis

AnalyzeWeb includes the ability to track individual resource statistics such as average response times (in the table view) and to view response time performace of each resource over time graphically in real-time!:

Slow Page Determination

By using the real-time response analysis chart you can filter to view specific pages or compare multiple pages and determine which are slow pages which may require additional optimization work.

Website Monitoring

By reducing the number of clients to 1 and specifying delays between sites or sets of sites AnalyzeWeb becomes a monitoring solution:

Monitoring includes verifying the full network connection and the web server/service up/down status, and its ability to process and return requested URLs as well as the content therein).

A list of failure conditions can be programmed for each web site which include:

• Fail if NO RESPONSE from web server
• Fail if slow response (adjustable value)
• Fail if response data size is >, <, or = a specified value
• Fail if response data contains or does not contain specified text value(s)
• Fail if response data hash code has changed (quick static content check)

If a failure occurs you can be immedietly be notified via. e-mail/cellphone, or you can have AnalyzeWeb perform various automatic failure actions (such as launch an external program, or just log the activity) and then allow it to continue monitoring. A real-time color coded display is available to view current state of all URLs being monitored.

Content Change Detection

Unlike simple network monitoring solutions that may offer additional protocols for simple up/down monitoring but then lack the ability to verify the servers content, AnalyzeWeb is specialized for http/https web servers to verify its full ability to process client requests including verifying specific criteria of the response content. This empowers you with the additional safeguard of knowing not only that a server is up BUT ALSO that the responses are as expected (ensuring all back end processing such as scripts, databases, networks and interface connections are operational and that the website pages/scripts have not been defaced by hackers).

Platform Availability

This is a platform independent utility currently available for Windows, Mac OS, Mac OSX, and Linux. Other platforms such as Solaris only available for download by special request.

Licensing & Downloads

AnalyzeWeb is available for 20 day trial Download. All features are fully enabled in the trial version though they will expire in 20 days. Once the software is registered the annoying "Register Reminder Window" goes away and the all of licensed features continue to operate beyond the 20 day trial.
